Senior Citizens Advisory Committee

Ride Connect - a program is designed to simplify the process by which seniors request transportation when calling Bergen County Community Transportation. Ride Connect provides Bergen County residents, aged 60 and over, a one-stop travel information and trip planning service, provided by a Mobility Manager, to help seniors find information on available transportation options to senior centers, medical appointments, shopping, etc. Click here for more information.

CHORE - helps seniors and those with disabilities remain safe in their homes by offering repair services and home maintenance. Tasks like installing a handrail, replacing a smoke sector, or weatherproofing a window can be dangerous obstacles for the elderly and those with disabilities.  Click Here for more information.

Bergen County Division of Senior Services:  the Division helps older adults, individuals with disabilities over the age of 18, and their caregivers, access the complex, long-term care, community-based, health and human services.   Click Here for website.  

The purpose of the Senior Advisory Committee is to investigate, report on, and make recommendations to the Mayor and Council concerning any issues and matters of health and general concern to senior citizens who reside in the borough.

The Committee schedules and runs senior Lunch and Learns, holiday lunches, senior trips, speakers and much more.

Meetings are held at the Old Tappan Senior Center located at 247 Old Tappan Rd (corner of Old Tappan Road and Leonard Drive.)
