Shade Tree Advisory
The Shade Tree Advisorypromotes the conservation and stewardship of trees throughout the Borough by advising government officials regarding planting, care and maintenance of trees on Borough-owned lands.
Requests for planting, removal, or inspections of damaged trees can be made by email.
Please remember that before you may cut, prune, remove or spray any Borough shade tree
you must obtain permission from the Borough.
If you have any question as to if a tree located within the 10-foot right of way is a Borough tree,
please contact the DPW at 201-664-1849 ext 40.
Also, when planning alterations to your home or yard that may interfere with a Borough shade tree you will need to provide a copy of the plans for review.
