GREEN NEWS - The Borough Solar System reached its first anniversary on October 6, 2012. The system design called for an annual output of 125 kW DC per year. The sytem delivered 129.2 kW DC. The savings to the environment equate to 745- 60 watt standard bulbs at 8 hours per day, CO2 offset would have required 2351 trees, 93 tons of CO2 kept out of the atmosphere, and 10,579 galllons of gasoline saved. The investment helps to make the Borough Greener, reduces electric costs and taxes, and shows our commitment to sutainable living. The Mayor and Council, the Environmemntal Commission and the Borough's GreenTeam, thank you for your support.
