RAGAMUFFIN PARADE

2007 Ragamuffin Parade

Saturday, October 27, 2007

Starts at 9:30 sharp - arrive by 9:15 to register

Oakes Park on Central Avenue

Each year on the Saturday of or before Halloween we have a ragamuffin parade for children of all ages, which include parents and grandparents.  We welcome all to participate in the most original costumes possible.

The actual parade starts at 9:30 AM, but it is essential that you arrive early so everyone can be registered.  Try to get there by 9:15.

The venue is beautiful Oakes Park on Central Avenue, with parking in the lot, at the office building next door (189 Central), and across the street at 184 Central.

Everyone does a double loop around the park, and then all meet at the gazebo where you will find refreshments and await the decisions of the judges for the best costumes in many categories for all age groups.

Every year the Women’s Club of Old Tappan and the Elementary School PTA donate their time, the prizes, snacks, and do the judging.  A great deal of effort goes into this event, and the community appreciates all of their hard work and generousity.

SO MAKE SURE THAT ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2007, YOU ARE THERE FOR THE CELEBRATION.
