Parks and Fields

 

The following is a list of Old Tappan's beautiful parks and fields that are used for recreational purposes:

Oakes Park

Oakes Park is located on Central Avenue.  It features a paved walking path and a gazebo.  This park is dedicated to all victims of terrorism.  To view the Mayor's Dedication Speech, please click here.

Stone Point Park

Stone Point Park is located on Westwood Avenue. It is one of town's largest parks consisting of a playground, four ball fields, basketball courts, a paved running/walking track, bocce, horseshoes, a covered pavilion, and a field house with kitchen and bathroom facilities. This Park is used for all recreational sports activities, summer sports camp, and Town Day.

 


Gallagher Field

The Gallagher Little League Field is located on Irving Street and consists of a  ball field and clubhouse that are primarily used for Little League baseball games.

 


Chestnut Field

The Chestnut Field is located on Chestnut Street and consists of two ball fields and a clubhouse. This field is used for several recreational sports events and serves as the location for the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

 

T. Baldwin Demarest School Fields

T. Baldwin Demarest School Fields are located at the end of Herrick and School streets. They consist of three ball fields, two playgrounds, and a basketball court. Old Tappan's Summer Camp and the commencement of the annual Ragamuffin Parade are located at these fields.
