BID NOTICES

 

 DeWolf Road and Howard Drive Drainage Improvements
The work to be performed under this contract includes drainage improvements with some curb, sidewalk and paving, in accordance with NJDOT grants.  Contractors are advised that all work must be completed by 6/30/20.  If alternate 2 is awarded, that portion of the project must be completed by 4/10/20. 
Sealed bids will be received by the Borough Clerk, Borough of Old Tappan, 227 Old Tappan Road, Old Tappan, New Jersey, on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. prevailing time, and then publicly opened and read aloud.
Copies of plans, specifications and contract documents are available upon payment of $150.00, said sum not refundable, from the Borough Engineer, Skrable Engineering LLC, 65 Ramapo Valley Road, Suite 213, Mahwah, New Jersey, between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday (excluding legal holidays), starting on December 9, 2019.
Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms furnished with the plans, specifications and contract documents, including a Non-collusion Affidavit, Consent of Surety, certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond of not less than 10% of the amount bid, and not to exceed $20,000.  Said checks and/or bond shall be made payable to the Borough of Old Tappan and shall be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and a contract awarded to the bidder, the contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured.  In default thereof, said checks and/or bond shall be forfeited to the Borough of Old Tappan as liquidated damages.  Any bid submitted by a corporation not chartered in New Jersey shall also be accompanied by a certificate stating that the corporation is authorized to conduct business in New Jersey.  All applicable surety bonds required in connection with this contract must be written by a surety company listed on the most current Federal Treasury List (Department Circular 570–Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds) in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:22-3.17g.
The successful bidder shall provide both Performance and Payment Bonds to the Borough of Old Tappan in the amount of 100% of the accepted bid amount.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127, regarding Affirmative Action, and Executive Order 11246, regarding Equal Employment Opportunity, as amended.  The successful bidder will be required to comply with the sponsor’s Project Plan fulfilling SED utilization.  All corporations and partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the Public Laws of 1977, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders.  Successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the NJ Dept. of Labor.  Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 ET. Seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
All bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, with the name and address of the bidder, the project name, and be addressed to the Borough of Old Tappan, Bergen County, New Jersey.  All bids are irrevocable, are not subject to withdrawal, and shall stand available for a period of 60 days.
The Borough of Old Tappan reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder.

 

Stone Point Park Drainage Improvements
The work to be performed under this contract includes infield re-construction with drainage improvements and some milling/paving of an existing path.  
Contractors are advised that all work must be completed by 3/31/20.
