A message from our Tax Office
 re: 2008 Taxes

You haven't misplaced your tax bill!

The State of New Jersey has delayed the certification
of the tax rate for each town in the state
due to a technical problem calculating the state aid.
While we must wait for the State, we hope to mail the tax bills out
in the beginning of August with a due date at the end of August.

Welcome to our new Borough Clerk,

SUMMER IS HERE!

It's time for the treasures of our local farmer's markets !
You don't have to go far, just visit our neighbors in River Vale
for fresh local produce and products!

Returning for their 12th year, is the River Vale Farmer's market!
~featuring fresh produce from Old Tappan's own Stokes Farm~

Local produce is healthier,
Rather than travel from farm to wholesaler to warehouse to grocery store where
it may sit on shelves for unknown amounts of time ~~
produce is grown and picked locally and delivered right to you. You also help preserve the environment, less energy to move the food less times.. and strengthen your community by investing your food dollar close to home! It's a little known fact that only 18 cents of every dollar goes to the grower when you purchase in the supermarket.
Closer to home is not just healthier for you, it's lower cost to you! No middleman!

The River Vale Farmers’ Market is open once a week, every Thursday from 12 Noon to 6 PM rain or shine from June 26, 2008 to October 30,2008.

Location Mark Lane Recreational Complex, off of Piermont Ave and Mark Lane
