Note: Ordinances enacted on or before March 15, 2007 have been codified and are available on line.
Originally published in 1975, the Borough Code contains administrative regulations as well as chapters on zoning, building, traffic regulations, noise, property maintenance and other important legislation. Concerns about the accuracy of the aging Code and the need to make information accessible to the public in an easy-to-use format prompted discussions of a Code Revitalization Project.
The updated Code has now been posted on the Internet. The Internet version of the Code contains the complete text of the document as last updated and is completely searchable, allowing residents 24 hour accesses to the latest legislation. Having the Code available on the Internet is a great help to residents and those individuals or businesses who need information after the usual business hours. General Code will upload revisions each time the Borough revises the base document ensuring that all users are getting the most accurate and up-to-date information possible.
